My main focus has been on Stromberg and Johnston (Cadillac) carbs. If you look in my ebay store you will see that I manufacture hard parts for the stromberg UU2, UUR2, EX32, EE3 and other carbs. Many  shops will advertise carb overhaul, and just replace a few gaskets and spray bomb the carb and return it to you. At Classic Auto Restoration, we make all our own speciality tools, completly disassemble ALL of the components and parts, resurface all gasket contact areas on a  milling machine to prevent gas and air leaks, replace worn out throttle shafts (as needed) that cause air leaks and poor idling, install new large and small venturies (as needed) to replace broken and crumbling pot metal, replate all linkage and hardware with chrome or nickle as origional, install correct era stainless steel screws and washers, prime and paint all exterior surfaces, set correct float height, and can also offer rejetting service if you require it. We also have a very limited supply of used parts that you may be missing or be damaged beyond repair. We also have all the factory stromberg manuals and parts list that provide CORRECT application and interchange of parts. It is very common for carbs to have been modified, and changed out with a incorrect year or different body and linkage. When this occurs it can be very difficult to get your car to run correctly.  We pride ourselves in excelent workmanship. In June of 08 two of our most recent customers won best of show and first in class at the Pierce Arrow national meet. Restoration cost varies with condition, parts missing or damaged, and replating. Most carb restoration costs (labor) runs from 500.00 dollars and up. While we can generally give a ball park figure for labor, we must have the carb in hand to see what else is missing, broken, and incorrect to give a more accurate estimate..
